It's official... Erik pinned on major today! Great job Honey, we're all so proud of you.
The kids had the honor of "pinning on" his new rank. Emmy was really excited to do her part. She ran up and gave Erik a big bear hug as soon as I cut her loose.
Spencer was timid at first until he saw Emmy do it.
Nope, I didn't make this cake... I had Albertson's do all the work. Honestly I felt really weird placing the order to have someone else make a cake for me. When I went to pick it up, the whole time I was walking to the car I just kept thinking to myself "don't trip, don't trip, don't trip". And the entire way home I was thinking "don't get in a wreck..." And as I'm driving home what happens right in front of me? Yep, you guessed it... a hit and run. I had to step on the breaks a little bit but the cake made it home safely. Today was the first time the kids and I got to go out to Erik's Squadron. Even then we had to stay in the lounge area; It's completely different from all the other squadrons Erik has been a part of. The kids were very excited to go see where Daddy works. They kept calling it the airport. We brought out some wings, veggie trays, cake, and drinks for everyone to enjoy. It was a fun day for all!
