Pictures of the cutest kids in the world

Spencer finally sat still for an entire haircut. I have tried to cut it several times but I really don't have a clue what I'm doing. We've taken him to the "fun" place for kids to get a hair cut twice but he HATES it. He squirms and cries the whole time; I had to practically hold him down. We tried bribes but he wasn't interested. So finally we took him out to the base to get a haircut because Erik needed one. He sat on my lap and was a little upset at first, but then he just sat there and let her cut his hair. I was so happy to say the least. He looks so handsome and so grown up. Emmy did a great job being a supportive big sister for Spencer.

Here are some pictures I took of the kids yesterday.

If I don't blog again before Thanksgiving... Happy Turkey Day!

Air Show

We took the kiddos out to the base this weekend for the annual air show.

Erik enjoyed showing Spencer all the jets. Spencer has a "jet book" that he has been looking at a lot lately and can tell us many of the jets names in the book.

Emmy and I were more concerned with where we would eat our picnic lunch rather than looking at the jets.

Emmy said she wanted to have a picnic under the wing of a plane... so we did. And it was fun too.

Erik showed Emmy his new jet and asked her where she thought he sat in it. Her answer was "Ummm, I don't know.

Candy!

Here are a few pictures of the kids after we finished trick or treating. We went out to the base to trick or treat and will continue to go there every year. Almost every house was giving out candy, so the kids didn't have to walk too far. We stayed out for an hour which was long enough to tire out the kids and fill their buckets. Emmy was too shy to say "trick or treat" when we got to the doors, but Spencer wasn't afraid to yell it. At one house he said it twice so the lady gave him more candy!

Emmy only likes chocolate candy. So for the last few days when I let them pick out one treat for the day she picks M&M's every time.

Here they are enjoying a little treat before bedtime.

Trick or Treat!

" There's no place like home."

Thank you Nana for making Emmy and Spencer awesome Halloween costumes. We got compliments at almost every house we went to on how cute they were.

Emmy loved her dress and shoes. The moment she put them on she couldn't stop twirling and dancing.

Taking time for a hug

The kids will wear these outfits to dress up for a long time. Right after breakfast this morning they wanted to put them on again.

Spencer really liked his hat; I was worried that he wouldn't keep it on.
