Special Day

Emmy lost tooth #2 (hard to see it in this picture)!
Spencer can read now and got book 1 at school!

Christmas Sings

Spencer was funny to watch at his Christmas sing because he wasn't really all that into it. He would sing a little and then stop to watch what people were doing in the audience. I'm fine with that though... I don't really want my son to be in drama club!

Spencer and his reindeer antlers

Emmy did a great job at her Christmas sing. She is very dramatic so she really got into her part. She had to pretend to be grumpy and later told me that is was hard to be grumpy when everyone was smiling at her.

Emily and her favorite teacher

Happy 6th Birthday Emily!!!

This year we celebrated Emily's birthday at the movie theater. After we had cake and ice cream in the party room, we went to see "Tangled". It was a really cute movie and Emily was so excited to have all her friends there.

At the end of the day, we went home to have dinner and open presents. I still can't believe Emmy is 6 years old now!

Gingerbread House

After our big Thanksgiving meal, we had the kids decorate their gingerbread house. We do this every year and they always look forward to it! Tomorrow we will put up our Christmas decorations.

Here is the finished project!

Smart Girl!

I am so proud of Emily; she was the very first one in her class to get her key. This means that she has mastered the blends, digraphs, irregular vowels, consonant blends, and one and two vowel rules! And she's only in kindergarten, I can't wait to see what she learns in first grade!

Nellis AFB Air Show

Picnic Time

Hugs in a C-17

Spencer liked counting the planes in the sky.
Spencer really enjoys going to the air shows but Emmy is a little bit of a diva about it and says it's too noisy. As you can see, she's trying to cover her ears with ear protection on.

Children's Book Festival

Yesterday we took the kids to the Children's Book Festival. They had a great time and really enjoyed getting these balloons. They were also given several free books. It was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon; the weather was beautiful!

Trick-or-Treat!

This year Emmy wanted to be a princess again, so Nana made her this beautiful dress! Emmy loved it and would have posed for us all night in it if we asked her to!

My Handsome Little Pilot

He enjoyed trying on Erik's old helmet for a few pictures.

He said he was spraying us with his elephant nose!

The kids had a great time trick-or-treating last night out at the base. We stayed for about an hour and a half and the kids buckets were pretty much full by that time. There were a lot of houses handing out candy. The weather was perfect too; it felt like it was at least 70 degrees!
